KidsChange story:

Sean Northrup, 22 said he "was what most considered a troubled kid." He recalled purposely getting suspended from school so he could go home to watch television and ride his bike.

He took part in Bolder Options when he was about 11 and was paired with a man who had been in the army during the Vietnam War. Northrup is now a Marine corporal who recently came back from a second tour of duty in Iraq.

If he hadn't gone through the program, had he not had the structure of someone that was there for him on a weekly basis with the running and the meetings, I don't think he'd be where he is today" said Northrup's grandmother, Susan Crozier.
